Valuation Trends: Ford

Having been in the collector vehicle and specialty insurance space for more than 40 years, we know this for sure: values are always changing. That’s exactly why it's so important to place vehicles on a Guaranteed Value® policy with a partner that regularly monitors changes in value and helps communicate that to agents and customers. At Hagerty, we have a whole team dedicated to Automotive Intelligence, including valuation, pricing and market trends. In fact, they helped us gather the information for this whole Cars You Should Know campaign.

Below are some fun facts, trivia and data about valuation trends for this month’s highlighted models. Fords have a long history of being well-loved and these valuation trends mostly illustrate that love well.

Mustang

  • For most Mustangs, values are on the rise: In the past five years, according to the Hagerty Price Guide, condition 3 (good) value Mustangs in the guide (1965-2014) are appreciating in value.
  • With the exception of…: Only the most modern Mustang covered by the Hagerty Price Guide (2005-14) is down slightly at -3.9% to $32,400.

F-Series Pickups

  • Trucks are having a moment: The F-Series trucks covered by the Hagerty Price Guide (1948-2014) have appreciated 85% in the past five years.
  • Older models moving slowest: While still on the rise, the oldest trucks (1948-52 F-Series Pickups) are up the least with only a 4% increase over the last five years. FWIW: This model also happens to be the least popular with our younger enthusiasts.

Bronco

  • Bronco makes the Bull Market: The 1984-90 Ford Bronco II was a Hagerty Bull Market pick for 2025 and is up 13% since 2021 to $8,000.
  • First and highest: The first-generation Bronco (1966-77) is up 38% to an average $45,800, which is the highest value of the Bronco generations.

GT

  • Averages are down: The Ford GT’s average condition 3 value in the Hagerty Price Guide is down 6% over the past five years to $366,167.
  • But first-gen is up: The first-generation (2005-06) is up 13% to $278,600—looking like a comparatively better deal and featuring technology not available on the second-generation car (V-8 engine and manual transmission).

In short: values are always changing. You can always count on Hagerty Valuation Tools® for accurate, up-to-date pricing information built right into the quoting tool for your convenience.
